-Woodbridge Town 4 Bury Town 4
Woodbridge with a bit of help from a strong
wind scrambled the first goal from a well
taken corner after only 3 minutes, after
this initial upset Bury settled down and the
game became a evenly matched affair, until
Hannah Merriam came on as a sub and promptly
smashed home Bury's equaliser, Bury really
upped the pressure and some neat play by Jo
Grover set up Kate McGreavy who cooly
slotted home to make it 2-1 to Bury at the
break. After the break Bury pushed on and
Sara Skibsted put in Bury's third and her
first goal of the season. Woodbridge really
woke up at this point and piled the pressure
on Bury forcing numerous corners and finally
an accidental hand ball gave them a penalty,
which was neatly converted. More pressure
from a resurgent Woodbridge resulted in an
equalizer and then with their confidence
high they took the lead 4-3,but with seconds
on the clock Bury had one last chance from a
long throw by Sarah Fulcher Arnold, and with
everyone forward they forced an error in the
Woodbridge defence which resulted in an own
goal. A thrilling end to a thrilling match.

good attacking runs forward. L Eaton seemed
to cover the whole pitch and with some
superb tackling from her to stop Wasps
attacks, chances fell to A Selby and Z
Cossey after surging runs from both players,
eventually after one run Z Cossys shot was
turn in by S Henwood to make it 1v1 and
after a good another run on the right by Z
Cossey who cut in and found the back of the
net from the edge of the box 2v1. Wasps had
chances to draw level but Waveney held on
for a hard fought three points especially as
the starting seven played the whole match.
