Under 11 Cup Final - Copleston SC 0 Waveney Girls 'A' 0 (Copleston won 3-1 on penalties)

The leagues top two teams meet in a close fought final in which the teams could not be separated and went to the dreaded penalty shoot out. The game saw both sides put on a fine display of football a credit to both teams and girls football .Waveney struggled to play on a small pitch and not for first time this season D Warner’s and L Eaton’s strong tackling and blocking along with M Shields shot stopping kept Waveney from falling behind . Z Cossey and A Selby tried to make things happen along with B Picton and A Lark but clear cut chances for the forwards A Cheverton and S Henwood were few.

Second half saw Waveney pinned in their own half for most of the 25minutes, but held Copleston out to get the draw and penalties. Waveney lost the shoot out 3 v1 but came away a credit to themselves disappointed but still smiling and ready to fight another day.
